Spanish Connection is a cooperative program between Western Washington University and Larrabee Elementary School.  Students in Grades 1-3 are instructed in Spanish through music and PE two days a week by WWU Spanish teaching interns.  An important piece for the success of this program is bridging the gap between Spanish instruction at school and the ability to practice the language at home and in other venues.  This website is designed to help bridge that gap.

An important part of learning any language is repetition.  A great way to gain this repetition is having a forum to practice speaking as well as to practice listening to the language being spoken properly.  The Video Library includes a series of short videos made by the Spanish interns.  These videos not only review content that the students are learning, but also allow the students to interact by asking questions that require students to respond in Spanish.

We hope that by watching these short videos, the students at Larrabee will become more comfortable and fluent in speaking the Spanish language.  We also hope to further develop the website so stay tuned and check back weekly for new updates!
